Programs and Services

Career and Employment Resource Room
The Career Center's Resource Room holds a multimedia collection of materials on career planning, gaining experience, applying to graduate/professional school, and job search skills such as resume writing and interviewing. Resources include computer-assisted career exploration; job listings for part-time, internship and full-time opportunities; computers with an Internet connection and an extensive employer information collection.

Career Series
The Career Center offers a series of workshops each semester which include topics such as resume writing, interviewing, career and job fair preparation, graduate school application, how to access TERP Online, and job searching. See the "What's Happening Now" section of the Career Center's website for times, dates, and locations.

TERP Online
(The Employment Registration Program) Online provides a list of current job listings (full-time, part-time, internship and graduate assistantships) maintained by the Career Center. Faculty and staff may log onto TERP Online as a guest by following the instructions on the main menu screen. As a guest, your access is limited to viewing job listings without the contact information and on-campus interview schedules without sign-up capabilities.

Publications
TerpWorks is a newsletter published each semester which is filled with local and national career and employment information, including career trends by field, employment outlook for those entering the job market, "real world" tips from employers and alumni, and much more. The Career Planning Manual, published once each year, covers career planning, conducting a job search, and applying to graduate school, and includes excellent guides to resume writing and successful interviewing. Refer to highlights on the Career Center's website or pick up your free copies of both publications at the Center.

Liaisons to the Career Center

You can find the appropriate liaison by checking the Academic and Outreach Section of our staff listing, available on the Center's website.

Outreach
Career Center staff welcome opportunities to speak on career-related topics to classes.
