This helpful checklist has been created to assist new employees
to the University of Maryland, College Park. Included are key items and references
that may be needed during the initial period of employment. The information
has been organized into two sections entitled Employee Related Items and
Job Related Items. The new employee and the hiring department should review
this
tool together to determine the appropriate items needed as they begin
their employment at the university.

Human Resources:
Has employee selected a retirement plan by first day of employment. (If plan is not selected, employee will default to State Employees'/Teachers' Alternate Pension System.)
While all appointments will not require all the following items, this
tool should be used as a guide by both the employee and the department
to determine which items are needed to perform your job.
